Being in translation means inhabiting a void that overwhelms syntax. Staying with that void, I’ve put together a reading list driven by curiosity about craft and translation. It reflects on the inherent violence(s) that comes with the occupation of linguistic space, as well as the repair, expansion, and shelter found within the interwoven messiness of tongues, within the strangeness of negotiation, and as well as the many silences.
