“The reconstruction of the vast ruins that Israel’s assault left everywhere in Gaza would take decades considering Israel’s arbitrary restrictions that existed before the war, and the much worse restrictions it will impose after the war ends. Not to mention, the sharply diminishing readiness of international donors to rebuild what Israel will inevitably destroy in its next “military operation.”

  • Muhammad Shehada, “Gaza Past, Present, and Future”, January 22nd, 2024

The book “GZA On Land and Air” revolves around the opening and closing of the Gaza International Airport - a symbol of hope for an independent state of Palestine.
The history of the airport is situated within the ongoing genocide and occupation of Gaza. It is narrated through Hind Khoudary’s hundred days of tweets from October 7th 2023 to January 14th 2024, Muhammad Shehada’s essay “Gaza Past, Present, and Future” and Kent Klich’s documentation and research of Gaza Airport and Palestinian Airlines. The concept was developed together with Tina Enghoff, who was also responsible for graphic design and editing.
